Paris-based photographer who inhabits the supposed chasm between social documentary and visual storytelling. Self-taught, he moves from hyper-stylized editorials to Parisian mondaine scenes, upending clichés and reprising narratives. Through his outsider’s eye, Paris reveals a floriferous arc of overlooked poetry beyond the postcard. Much like Gordon Parks and Vivian Maier, Badjvck suggests narratives that quivers; what goes unsaid speaks volumes.
